What are Aesthetic or Cosmetic Procedures?
Aesthetics is a philosophical concept exploring the nature of beauty and art with the goal to create or improve the appreciation of Art. The Aesthetic Doctor or Cosmetic Surgeon are in fact scholars of the study of subjective and sensori-emotional values – also known as judgements of sentiment, style and taste. The Aesthetic Doctor or Cosmetic Surgeon studies how to create and perform works of art – how people enjoy, relate to, criticize, or what happens in the mind of the client when they perceive or define beauty, and how to interpret the expectation of the client and create a result as close as possible to this perceived interpretation of self-beauty.
Know the Doctor
Dr. Sam van Eeden is a Level 7, trained and qualified Aesthetic Medicine Doctor with a Postgraduate Degree in Aesthetic Medicine awarded Cum Laude from Queen Mary University of London. Dr. van Eeden is currently a Clinical Lecturer in the Centre for Cell Biology & Cutaneous Research at the Blizard Institute, within Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London where he lectures and trains Doctors enrolled to become Aesthetic Medicine Doctors. He further completed additional Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetic Procedure Fellowship Training in Beverly Hills, LA, São Paulo, Heuston, Egypt, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, U.K, Ireland. In addition Dr. van Eeden passed the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery examination to be appointed as Diplomate of the ABHRS / IBHRS.
Procedures
In NuaCell, we perform Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetic Procedures to the highest possible standard of care. Invasive Surgical procedures includes Surgical Hair Transplant Surgery – Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), Face lift Procedures like the a) less invasive Surgical Suture Lift to lift and reposition the Mid-face SMAS-lift, Brow-lift, Lower face and Neck or b) more invasive traditional Surgical lift and correction for excess skin reduction or the surgical removal of moles and skin lesions. Non-invasive procedures include injectable wrinkle-relaxing treatments, hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers of varying duration for ageing correction and facial recontouring of the face, neck, décolletage, and hands, as well as chemical peels, fat-reduction injections, and scar-correction treatments, among others.
